Last night we had a really sweet moment with Henry in the car. He was whining about wanting to hear Frosty the Snowman on the radio. We told him if he wanted he could pray to Jesus and ask him to play Frosty. So he repeated after me and said "Dear Jesus, please let Frosty come on the radio before we get out of the car."
Minutes went by and no Frosty... I was really hoping the Lord would let Frosty come on so Henry could experience how God answers our prayers. Well sure enough, two minutes before we reached our destination, Frosty played! Henry was so so excited and kept saying "Jesus heard me!!"
On the way home I could hear him talking to himself in the back seat. He was saying "Dear Jesus, please let Rudolph come on the radio, Amen." Well Rudolph didn't come on. Which led to another teaching moment, telling Henry how Jesus heard his prayer but for some reason chose to work in a different way.
This morning again Frosty came on, and Henry exclaimed "We prayed for this yesterday!" I am always looking for ways to show Henry that God is real and loves him and feel so thankful for these little teaching moments.
