Hank's forbidden fruit...

If it was Henry and Eve instead of Adam and Eve, the fall would have happened while Adam was only ten months old.  Let me explain...

...Henry's walker is now for basement use only.  He usually zips around our huge basement so fast and has a ball while doing it.  Well a few days ago he found the electrical outlets.  Now instead of running around and enjoying his playtime downstairs, he walks from one electrical outlet to another and tries to stick his fingers in the sockets.  (NOTE: we have plugs in the sockets but want him to be in the habit of staying away from electrical outlets).  

We have tried several methods in stopping him.  Telling him no... sternly telling him no.... grabbing his face and making him look at us while telling him no.. and lastly, swatting his hands and telling him no.  

When we tell him no, he cries for a split second and walks away.  As soon as we think he has moved on... he V lines for another outlet and tries to stick his finger in that one.  He fuels off us telling him no.  When we reprimand him, we do it then try to play with him somewhere else.  

He is such a funny character.  We have to teach him discipline with these small things before he gets into even more dangerous situations.  We call the outlets his forbidden fruits because he just cant help himself.  He has to get a poke!
